1 st Day – Pickup from Bandaranaike International Airport to Negombo or Colombo.
On arrival in Sri Lanka you will be met and assisted by our chauffeur. Once you check in at your hotel
relax and recover from any jet lag. If you have spare time your chauffeur will introduce you to the sights
and sounds of the city.
Overnight Stay: A Hotel in Negombo or Colombo.

2 nd Day – Anuradhapura.
After exploring Colombo the first day, you will be driven to the city of Anuradhapura. This is the city of
ancient ruins where you can obtain an in-depth exploration of the history of Sri Lanka. One of the stops
here is the Yapahuwa ancient city: a 300 foot fortified wonder that dates back to the 13th century.
Around this area you will also visit the Mihintale Buddhist Temple where you will find more ruins
amongst the first Buddhist Temple in Sri Lanka.

3 rd Day – Habarana.
We will be leaving for Habarana - a small green village with excellent hotel accommodation, and
spectacular views on greenery. Apart from that Habarana is also a central location for all the ancient city
sites. Check in at your hotel on arrival and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

4 th Day – Polonnaruwa.
The journey continues on to one of the ruins of ancient Ceylon - the UNESCO World Heritage City of
Polonnaruwa, which was the Capital of Sri Lanka from 11th to 13th century. A well-planned medieval
city defended by enclosing walls (around 5 km. which still remain), graced by palaces, shrines,
monasteries, pavilions, parks, ponds and irrigation lakes. Polonnaruwa is strewn with ruins in a
resplendent state of preservation.
The "Gal Vihara" which consists of statues of the recumbent, standing and seated Buddha have been cut
from a single granite wall and rank among the true masterpieces of Sri Lankan Art.

5 th Day – Sigiriya.
You will move from Anuradhapura to Sigiriya where we have some adventure lined up for you amidst
the dated historical ruins. Sigiriya, also known as the “Lions Rock” is a palace built by an ancient King on
top of a rock. To see the palace you have to climb the rock, which is quite a do-able activity by most of
us. During your climb you will see some beautiful frescos embedded in the rock and a Lion’s Gate, as the
entrance to the palace. At the top you will see ruins of the palace as well as an amazingly breathtaking
view of the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka.
Overnight Stay: A Hotel in Sigiriya.

6 th Day – Kandy.
The next day you will head towards the hill capital of the Island – Kandy. On the way you will visit the
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where you can mingle with the elephants and be a part of their lifestyle.
Later in the day you can visit the beautiful Botanical Gardens in Kandy to see some of the most exquisite
flora that Sri Lanka boasts of. The Kandy House is where you will be sleeping over on day five and six.
You will also be taken to visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Also known as Sri Dalada Maligawa,
this golden roofed Temple houses the relic of Lord Buddha’s tooth. Towards the evening you can enjoy
an entertaining Kandyan cultural dance show.

7 th Day – Nuwara Eliya.
On day seven, we will explore the panoramic beauty of the beautiful town of Nuwara Eliya, also known
as “Little England”. En route, you will come across attractive waterfalls amongst the hills. Your driver will
stop at one upon your request if you wish to take a dip. A visit to the hotel’s neighbouring tea factory.

8 th Day – Horton Plains.
After an early breakfast at the hotel, leave for Horton plains, the highest plateau in the country. Named
as a national park, Horton Plains homes unique vegetation and is well known to be a perfect ground to
observe many rare and endemic highland birds. The most awesome physical feature of the Horton Plains
is the escarpment that falls 880 meters to the lowlands of the southern region of the island. Aptly
known as the "World’s End" the view from the precipice of the countryside below towards the south
coast is spectacular.

9 th Day – Yala National Park.
You will depart for the city of Yala. Upon checking in to the Leopard Trails Luxury camping site, you will
engage in an evening full of fun-filled activities.
Overnight Stay: A Hotel in Tissamaharama.

10 th Day – Bentota.
Blissfully spend your time as you wish whether it be indulging in fine spa treatment or relaxing by the
beautiful Indian Ocean.

11 th Day – Drop to Bandaranaike International Airport.
